Spring 2008

Welcome to 2008!! I hope you had a fulfilling 2007 & are enjoying a peaceful, healthy, & productive start to the new year.

Two thousand seven was a year of memorable performances for the Caswell Sisters Quintet, the Sara Caswell Quartet, Mark O'Connor's American String Celebration, & the New York Pops, groups I've been privileged to lead or be part of for some time. It was a year of new associations with such stellar musicians as Ike Sturm, Erica vonKleist, David Devoe, & Nadje Noordhuis. It was also a year of teaching milestones: my tenth year teaching for the Mark O'Connor Fiddle Camp & my first teaching for Jamey Aebersold's Summer Jazz Workshop, a camp I attended as a teenager. So much to be grateful for & so much to look forward to!!!

My spring & summer schedule is filled with performances that will place me in every corner of the U.S. I'm especially excited about a concert I'm giving with my quartet at Symphony Space, a gorgeous performance facility in the heart of New York City's Upper West Side. I'm also thrilled to unite with guitarist Gene Bertoncini for a duet concert at Hunt Hill Farm in March and with my sister for a mini-tour of the Northeast in the late spring... details forthcoming!

Early this year I head into the recording studios to be part of two projects: legendary guitarist Bucky Pizzarelli's new CD & Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Spectacular soundtrack with the New York Pops in which I will once again be featured as a soloist, this year on "Tennessee Waltz."
